Akane participates in a friendly quiz match in Kurokawa’s hometown. However, she slips away from the venue to visit a coffee shop with ties to Kurokawa. When she mentions Kurokawa’s name, however, the shop manager’s expression changes, and she is quickly kicked out. Eto, who had been following Akane, then appears outside the shop. Akane asks Eto for help and sneaks into the back of the shop when the manager isn’t looking. There, she finds a photo of Kurokawa and the shop manager looking friendly together, along with a letter. Seeing Akane’s bold actions, Eto confronts her about his long-harbored suspicions. “You’re the culprit, aren’t you?” Then, Eto took an even more unexpected action.
