Kurokawa turned himself in. Akane, who thought he had escaped, could not understand why he had surrendered so easily. While those around her are relieved that the culprit has been arrested, she is overcome with a feeling of emptiness. Meanwhile, at the request of Shinozaki’s father, Akane visits the Shinozaki family with Ihara. He wants to talk to his deceased daughter’s classmates. While Shinozaki’s father sheds tears over his daughter’s sudden death, he also tries to extract information from Akane and the Ihara. Noticing this, Akane pretends to mourn her classmate’s death, snuggles up to Shinozaki, and asks to see her room. She then discovers surprising data on Shinozaki’s tablet.
