
This program introduces the drama of strange events experienced by each person in an omnibus format, with a different main character for each story.
[BLACK ROOM] (2001) After studying abroad in the United States for three years, Naoki (Takuya Kimura) returns home to surprise his parents. However, he finds that his family home has been transformed into a pitch-black space. In the darkness, he reunites with his parents, (Kotarō Shiga and Kirin Kiki), but they seem different. Confused and frustrated, Naoki grows increasingly anxious until he is confronted with an unexpected turn of events.
[The Man on the Night Train] (2002) A mysterious man (Ren Osugi) boards a lonely night train with few passengers and begins to eat his lunch box silently. He examines each ordinary dish with unusual insight, plans how to divide the rice, and decides the order in which to eat each dish. Then, he begins to eat. His behavior is strange yet captivating. Eventually, it becomes clear that his actions are motivated by a hidden intention, which leads the story to a twist ending.
[Locker] (1990) Industrial spy Satoru (Yuji Oda) sneaks into a research facility to steal important data. He is discovered by Kunio Saguchi (Yasunori Danta), a research facility employee, and, after a struggle, Satoru kills him. As he tries to escape, Satoru hears security guards approaching and quickly hides in a nearby locker. Just as he begins to feel safe, the locker door becomes stuck and won’t open, and Satoru realizes that the locker belongs to the man he killed, leaving him in shock. Outside, security guards call the police, and as the crime scene investigation begins, Satoru is trapped inside the locker, gradually cornered.
[Beautiful Woman Can] (2005) Yuta (Satoshi Tsumabuki) is a freeter who starts living alone after his girlfriend, Haruko, leaves for a business trip. One day, he notices a beautiful woman leaving his neighbor’s apartment every morning and becomes curious. Intrigued, Yuta sneaks into his neighbor’s apartment and finds a can labeled “Beautiful Woman Can.” When he tries it, a beautiful woman named Saki Fujikawa (Asami Usuda) appears, and Yuta begins to develop feelings for her. However, the “Beautiful Woman Can” holds a secret.
[These Memories of Love, Don’t Fade Away] (2019) Singer-songwriter Shiho Murase (Yuki Saito) was feeling stuck in her creative process. One day, she composed a new song based on a melody she had heard in a dream. The song became a huge hit. However, she later realized that the melody was the same as a commercial song that had played during a local TV program on which she had appeared as a child. She then began to doubt that her song was original. Amidst this turmoil, strange events began to unfold around Shiho.
