When Nami returned home, she found her mother hard at work. Now that her father had passed away, her mother was running the surf shop alone. Concerned, Nami offered to help, but that night, Sae told her that she was planning to close the shop. Her health had been declining ever since her father’s death. Overwhelmed by her feelings, Nami wrote a postcard to Takuma. One day, while trying to help her mother, Nami loaded a repaired surfboard onto her bicycle to deliver it but ended up falling on the way. As a result, she and her mother spent the entire night repairing the board together.

Kenta had lost his appetite at the hospital but thought he might be able to eat pancakes, so he snuck out. Nami was outraged but decided to try her best. She baked pancakes for Kenta and took them to the hospital. Kenta happily ate them. Eventually, he was discharged from the hospital, and a party was held at Café Ronron to celebrate. Everyone had a lively and enjoyable time. On the way home from the party, Nami pushed Kenta’s wheelchair along the seashore and said, “When you’re scared, don’t hide it.” Kenta opened up to her.
