Ebiko rejects the confession of her long-admired, high-spec boss, Taijima, revealing that her feelings are directed toward Mizunuma. Realizing that Ebiko and Mizunuma both have special feelings for each other, Taijima flashes a bittersweet smile. Saya also cheers Ebiko on for choosing a man based on her true feelings for the first time! Ebiko visits the aquarium shop to tell Mizunuma how she feels, but she gets nervous and acts suspiciously. After telling him that she had rejected Taijima’s confession, she impulsively blurts out, “Because I like you!” and bolts from the shop. Rushing home as if she were escaping, Ebiko finds the shrimp in her tank completely motionless. Worried, Ebiko frantically returns to Mizunuma.

“I like you, Ebihara.” Ebiko, who had long admired her high-spec boss, Taijima, was finally confessed to! But, unsure if she’s worthy of him, she puts off answering, leaving her best friend, Saya, disappointed. After an argument with Yoko, who resents Mizunuma, he closed the shop. Ebiko barged into his room, worried, to find Mizunuma a wreck, drowning his sorrows in alcohol. Mizunuma forced a smile and said that Yoko resenting him was his own fault. As he confessed his past struggles, which he’d hidden from others despite his popularity with women, Ebiko didn’t pull away. Instead, she accepted it and said, “That’s exactly who I thought you were.” Afterwards, Ebiko headed home but realized she had forgotten to give Mizunuma a souvenir. She rushed back to his shop. There, Yoko, who had been lying in wait, appeared and put Ebiko in danger once again!

Ebiko is stunned to learn that Mamiko is not Taijima’s girlfriend. Taijima, who says he’s looking for a girlfriend, invites Ebiko to dinner. Ebiko is surprised and flustered, feeling the pressure mount. However, Saya pushes her, saying, “Go catch that fish!” Meanwhile, Mizunuma is shaken when his sister, Momoka, tells him that a woman named Ogino visited their house. Ebiko then reports that she managed to arrange a date with Taijima. The day of Ebiko and Taijima’s date arrives. Though nervous, they enjoy the aquarium and an Italian restaurant, and the atmosphere grows wonderfully romantic. On their way home, however, they pass by Mizunuma’s shop and discover him arguing with an unfamiliar woman. Startled, Ebiko approaches and gets caught up in the chaos, igniting Taijima’s anger.

When Ebiko returned home, she overheard Takumi talking on the phone with his mother and making condescending remarks about her. Ebiko lost her temper and confronted him. He confessed that he had been dumped by his “higher-level” fiancée and had moved in with Ebiko, settling for someone who was “easier.” “Ebiko should just stay Ebiko,” he declared. “Trying to be something you’re not never ends well.” A heated argument ensued. Meanwhile, work was going great, and Ebiko was overjoyed to be praised by “Sea Bream Woman” Mamiko. Ebiko told her best friend, Saya, about her recent situation. When Ebiko mentioned frequenting Mizunuma’s shop, however, Saya warned her to be careful around Mizunuma’s women. Later, in front of Mizunuma’s shop, Ebiko was taken away by a mysterious woman named Momoka.

When Ebiko returned home from a business trip, her childhood friend, Takumi Miura, was waiting for her outside the building. He came to Tokyo for company training, but he forgot to book a hotel. He asked if he could stay with her for two weeks, and she reluctantly agreed. When Ebiko comes home from work, Takumi has cleaned up the messy apartment and prepared a delicious home-cooked meal. With her life now in order, Ebiko feels like they are newlyweds and wonders if Takumi is really a sea bream. At work, Taijima, the high-spec boss she admires, asks Takumi to join the team for the latest collection presentation. Ebiko takes on her first big job, but one of her coworkers is Mamiko, a highly skilled woman and her romantic rival for Taijima’s affections. Ebiko struggles to keep up while working alongside Mamiko and ends up working overtime every day. Then, Ebiko learns that Takumi has an agenda.

Ebiko is going on a two-day, one-night business trip to a hot spring with her boss, Taijima, whom she admires. In a cheerful mood and thinking of Taijima, she puts extra effort into choosing her outfit. Even after arriving at their destination, she is so fascinated by Taijima that she can’t concentrate on her work. They find themselves alone in a café, talking at close range, and her heart won’t stop pounding! However, there is something wrong with Taijima. Even at important dinners with clients, he looks pale and doesn’t return to his seat. Ebiko, worried, goes looking for him and finds Taijima crouching down. Ebiko clumsily saves Taijima!

Ebiko and Jung-soo manage to escape Reina, who is chasing them with a knife. Ebiko is appalled when Jung-soo confesses that several women give him money for living expenses and to support his favorite idol. However, he takes her to his favorite snack bar, where she discovers a surprising side of him. Then, a customer approaches her, and she finds herself in a tight spot! Jung-soo reveals that he has been in love with a Japanese woman named Arisa Enami for a long time. Later, Ebiko is surprised to meet Arisa at work, but she is taken aback by Arisa’s attitude.

A sea bream woman who is a perfect match for Taijima appears, and Ebiko sulks, thinking she can’t compete. Her best friend, Saya, registers her on a dating app and encourages her to move on to her next love. However, the person she was supposed to meet doesn’t show up! While Ebiko cries over her situation, a Korean man named Park Jung-soo stops by and talks to her. The two hit it off! Ebiko is smitten with Jung-soo, who treats her like a princess. However, Ebiko always pays for the dates.
Meanwhile, Ebiko decides to go to the Mizunuma store with Taijima. She doesn’t want Taijima to know that she knows Mizunuma. When Ebiko tries to ask Jung-soo about money, she gets caught up in an unexpected incident.

Ebiko gets drunk and Mizunuma, the manager of an aquarium shop, takes care of her. The next morning, she can’t remember anything. She confesses everything to her colleague, Saya Izumi, and says that she will give up on her boss, Taijima, whom she admires, and live her life as a “little shrimp.”

Yuiko Ebihara, nicknamed “Ebiko,” is dumped by her boyfriend and gets drunk. In a moment of impulse, she kisses her boss, Ryosuke Taijima, who she has admired for some time. The next morning, Ebiko wakes up to find Shu Mizunuma, the manager of an aquarium shop that she had stopped by on her way home, completely undressed next to her.
